Dr Vishal Gupta

I graduated from the University of Rajasthan (India) and also completed my post-graduation in MD Paediatrics, from the University of Rajasthan (India).
I undertook my Fellowship and retrained through The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), whilst working at The Children’s Hospital – Westmead, Nepean Hospital and various Neo-Natal Intensive Care Units (NICU) in Sydney.
Currently I am also working as a Consultant Paediatrician at Auburn Hospital, Allowah Presbyterian Children’s Hospital and Nepean Hospital.
My special areas of interest are: - Babies with complex needs, Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrics including Autism, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorders, Speech and Communication issues, Challenging Behaviours and Anxiety.

Dr Suntharalingam Sivananthan

Dr Sivananthan (Dr Siva) is a general surgeon with a special interest in Advanced Laparoscopic Procedures, Hernia Surgery, Skin Cancer Surgery and Endoscopic Procedures
Dr Siva is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, a Member of General Surgeons of Australia, a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and a Fellow of the College of Surgeons of Sri Lanka. He is accredited with the Gastroenterology Society of Australia for gastroscopy and colonoscopy procedures.
Dr Siva undertook his medical training in Sri Lanka, where he attained a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2000, a Mastery of Surgery in 2005, and became a General Surgeon in 2007.
After moving to Australia in 2007, Dr Siva commenced work as a General Surgeon at Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals, Queensland, in 2010, and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2013. In 2018 Dr Siva joined St Stephen’s Private Hospital Hervey Bay. Passionate about education, Dr Siva has held a Senior Lecturer position at the University of Queensland since 2015, supervises surgical trainees and teaches medical students. He is published in multiple peer-reviewed journals. In 2022, Dr Siva joined Lakeview Private Hospital where he is available for consultation and procedures. He is committed to delivering the highest standards of clinical practice and patient care at all times.
Dr Siva endeavours to see patients within two weeks of being referred. His international experience has proven invaluable to his work as general surgeon.
Dr Siva is able to consult in English and Tamil.

Dr Kannan (Reddy) Bakthavatsalam

Consultant Endocrinologist
Dr Kannan Reddy graduated from the University of Mysore (India) and completed his post graduate in MD (General Medicine) from Bangalore University (India). He has undertaken his fellowship training in General Medicine at John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle. Later he moved to Westmead, Blacktown and the Royal Darwin Hospital to complete his Endocrinology Fellowship.
He is a Clinical lecturer at the University of Sydney.
His special areas of interest include; Diabetes, Gestational Endocrine disorders and Bone health.

Dr Bala Indrajit

Consultant Urological Surgeon
Dr Indrajit obtained his undergraduate and initial post graduate training in Sri Lanka. After obtaining his MRCS degree from England, Dr Indrajit obtained his advanced Urological fellowship training from Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Gosford Hospital and Nepean Hospital.
Dr Bala Indrajit is a senior clinical lecturer at the University of Sydney, Rural School of Medicine. He has a great passion and interest in surgical education of junior staff, the medical students and surgical registrars in training.
Dr Indrajit has been practicing in the Orana Region and Midwest NSW over the last seven years. In this period, he has pioneered the introduction of laser treatment for stones, Laparoscopic Nephrectomies for kidney cancers and Radical Prostatectomies for prostate cancer. He is currently attached to Sydney Adventist Hospital.

Dr Mani Manoharan

Consultant Endocrinologist
Dr Mani Manoharan is a Consultant Endocrinologist working in Liverpool and Fairfield Hospitals. Dr Manoharan did her Specialist training in Liverpool, Nepean and Blacktown Hospitals. Dr Manoharan graduated in Sri Devaraj Urs Academy of Higher Education and Research and completed her post-graduation in Masters of Ophthalmology from Stanley Medical College in Chennai.
She is a Community Diabetes Lead for the South West Sydney Local Health District. Dr Mani Manoharan has a special interest to work in collaboration with General Practitioners to improve diabetes management at the Primary care level. Currently she works closely with Prof David Simmons in Campbelltown Hospital and is leading few projects like Practice Nurse Diabetes Education Workshop, Diabetes Telephone Advisory Service for General Practitioners.

Dr Bithi Roy
MBBS, MD, FRACP
Neonatologist and Paediatrician
Dr Bithi Roy is a Neonatologist and Paediatrician with clinical experience in neonatal care for over a decade. She completed her specialist training in Neonatology from Children’s Hospital at Westmead and Royal North Shore Hospital. She has special interest in neurodevelopmental assessment and is accredited to conduct General movement and Bayley developmental assessments. She is perusing PhD in ‘Stroke in Australian children under 2-years of age’ under the University of Sydney. She has received AusCP CTN scholarship. She has multi-linguistic background; English, Hindi and Bangla. Areas of service: Medical consultation, post hospital follow up of high risk & preterm babies, feeding & lactation optimisation consultation, difficult laboratory blood sampling and developmental screening.

Dr Yog Chopra

Consultant Geriatrician
Dr Yog Chopra is a Specialist Physician currently appointed as a Staff Specialist in Geriatric and General Medicine at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital and is a Visiting Medical Officer at Lakeview Private Hospital. He graduated with a Bachelor of Medical Studies (BMed)/Doctor of Medicine (MD) (Distinction) and Bachelor of Science (Med) Honours (First Class) from the University of New South Wales. He completed his Basic Physicians Training from Westmead Hospital and subsequently undertook specialty training in Geriatric Medicine at Westmead Hospital and Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital. He has subspecialty training in Acute and Community Medicine, Stroke Medicine, Perioperative Medicine, Rehabilitation and Aged Care Psychiatry. He has a keen interest in teaching medical students, junior medical officers and basic physician trainees in his role as Director of Physician Education (DPE) and Clinical Lecturer with the University of Sydney. Dr Chopra's clinical interests include cognitive assessments, dementia, polypharmacy, frailty, falls prevention, osteoporosis management, rehabilitation, management of complex and chronic disease and perioperative medicine.

Dr Andrew Jeyaruban

Consultant Nephrologist
Dr Andrew Jeyaruban is currently a renal fellow at the Royal North Shore hospital. He possesses an excellent clinical education from James University, Queensland Australia, combined with specialist training in renal medicine in Royal Prince Alfred, Liverpool Hospital, St Vincent Hospital and Bankstown Hospital. He has a passion for educating juniors (resident and basic physician trainees) and currently has the role of clinical associate lecturer with the University of New South Wales. He also has a keen interest in research and is in the process in commencing his PHD in “Glomerulonephritis in the elderly” through the George institute for research. His previous research has been in the field of pregnancy hypertension, glomerulonephritis in the elderly and cardiovascular disease in the chronic kidney disease population. Dr Jeyaruban’s comprehensive clinical interests include: hypertension, chronic kidney disease including diabetic nephropathy, renal stones, renal supportive care, hypertensive disorders of pregnancy and preeclampsia. Dr Jeyaruban brings a professional and empathetic attitude to provide patients with a holistic and evidence based management plan.

Dr Barry McCabe

Dr Barry McCabe is a caring and compassionate surgeon who believes in holistic care. He specialises in gastroenterological conditions, general surgery and colorectal surgery. He has completed his medical degree in Newcastle, graduating in 2000. He then underwent surgical training at Westmead Hospital, completing his fellowship in General Surgery in 2008. He completed colorectal specialty training with the Colorectal Surgical Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSSANZ) being awarded CSSANZ fellowship in 2012.
Dr McCabe has worked at Westmead Private Hospital since 2012, being a great advocate and pioneer of minimally-invasive surgery. He conducted pioneering research on minimally invasive polyp removal techniques including Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR) at Westmead Public Hospital in the early 2000s and conducted Australia’s first robotic trans-anal EMR for a rectal tumour resection in 2017.
Dr McCabe performs all endoscopy (gastroscopy and colonoscopy) and surgery (both general and colorectal) at Westmead Private Hospital and has a NO GAP POLICY for all endoscopy procedures (for those with Medicare and private health insurance).
Dr McCabe also performs minor procedures under local anaesthesia at Wentworthville Specialist Centre and Garfield Medical Centre.
